Publication Process

Peer review process

Submission and processing of manuscripts to Bahterania are done on a non-paying basis.

The editor makes an initial appraisal of each manuscript. If it seems potentially appropriate for the journal, the manuscript goes to a review process. Once the review process has been completed, decision on acceptance, revision, or rejection of the manuscript is made by the editor.

Wacana has a double-blind review process. Authors are not told who review their papers and reviewers are not told who the author of a paper is. Peer reviewers may be informed of the identity of the author after a manuscript is either accepted or rejected. After a decision is reached, peer reviewers may be informed of the identity of the author of a manuscript.

A decision on the manuscript generally takes four to five months after submission; delays in obtaining reviews may prolong this process. Manuscripts are sent out for review electronically, and all correspondence takes place via e-mail.

Bahterania uses i-Thenticate plagiarism detection service to ensure the integrity of all submitted manuscripts.
